Family Farm Minnesota

Chucks Family farm is located 7 miles south of Owatonna, Minnesota. The land was originally purchased by Chuck’s great-grandfather in 1892 for $20.00 an acre. (This is the 133rd year anniversary of his families’ farm.) Chuck is the fourth generation of Homuth’s to own and live on the land, and Chuck’s sons will be the fifth generation. Chuck grew up learning about agriculture and the importance of taking care of and being a steward of the land.

Since 2016 we have planted various crops every year, including: Black Beans, organic Purple Corn, organic Sweet Corn, organic Soy Beans, and organic Sorghum.

The farm has been proclaimed a Minnesota Century Farm by the state.
