Family Farm Minnesota

Family Farm Minnesota

Chucks Family farm is located 7 miles south of Owatonna, Minnesota. The land was originally purchased by Chuck’s great-grandfather in 1892 for $20.00 an acre. (This is the 131st year anniversary of his families’ farm.) Chuck is the fourth generation of Homuth’s to own and live on the land, and Chuck’s sons will be the fifth generation. Chuck grew up learning about agriculture and the importance of taking care of and being a steward of the land.

Beginning in 2016 and since we have alternated annually between growing Black Beans, organic Purple Corn, and organic Sweet Corn.

The farm has been proclaimed a Minnesota Century Farm by the state.
