History and Mission

Our founder, Chuck Homuth grew up on a small family farm in Minnesota (est. 1892) and moved to Florida in the late 1980s to eventually open the first Chuck’s Health Food Store in Temple Terrace in 1992. He was a pioneer back when only a few people were eating organic foods. Over the years, with the help of great knowledgeable customer service, the business has grown to now include our Brandon store (opened in 1998).

Today each store location offers a beautiful Restaurant and Taphouse Bar. They are the first NON-GMO Organic Cafés in the area. Chuck has gone full circle and is now operating the Minnesota family farm organically as well as his Florida Farm located one hour north of Tampa.

Our mission is to offer you the highest quality Organic foods and Nutritional Supplements, locally sourced whenever possible, with a knowledgeable staff to assist you. When you shop or dine with us you are sharing in Chuck’s lifelong vision of creating a community that thrives on an abundance of health.
